The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the organization responsible for conducting national examinations in Ghana, has redesigned its website after it was hacked. The new design is intended to make the website more user-friendly, particularly for prospective students and applicants.
WAEC officials have stated that the new design was not inspired by the October 16th cyberattack, but that adequate security measures have been put in place to protect the site from future attacks.
In addition to the website redesign, WAEC recently celebrated Customer Service Week with a variety of events, including webinars and workshops. The goal of these events was to engage with customers and express gratitude for their support. Customer Service Week is celebrated globally during the first week of October to recognize individuals and organizations that contribute to the success of any institution.
During Customer Service Week, WAEC provided a platform for customers to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and contribute to the improvement of educational services. WAEC also used the week to reaffirm its commitment to excellence in education and to pledge to continue delivering reliable and transparent examination services.
WAEC looks forward to building upon the relationships fostered during Customer Service Week and continuing to provide valuable educational services to the West African region in the months and years to come.
